Step 1: check your firmware version
On your iDrive: Navigation → Options → Settings → Position & Version History. Your version looks like NBTevo_P. Pick it in the options above when you order.
- NBTevo_H to O: USB install. We email you a small file, you copy it to a FAT32 USB drive under 64 GB and plug it into the armrest port. The unit reboots with CarPlay unlocked.
- NBTevo_P to Y: ENET install. Download our Easy Coding tool, connect the ENET cable, enter the code from your email and press three buttons. Takes about 2 minutes.
Fullscreen works on NBTevo_N, O, P, Q, R, S, U, V, W, X and Y. On older versions CarPlay fills 3/4 of the screen. To get fullscreen, add an iDrive Firmware Update.
